Oh Deer!
Despite living in a highly urban city, a deer has found Steph's garden and has made several determined attempts on mowing down the hostas. Luckily, I had a few motion activated sprinklers and Liquid Fence on the shelf which have been working well.
Enright Wildlife Closed July 9-17
I am going to take a break to smell the flowers (literally and figuratively) and so Enright Wildlife will be closed between July 9-17.
Sometimes wildlife comes to me!
This snapping turtle decided our back flower bed was a nice place for a nest. We are now watching over the nest to protect it from predators and waiting for the hatchlings to come out in a couple weeks.
The start of it all!
The start of it all! Forty two years ago this summer, a young boy caught a garder snake and the rest is history. My love of wildlife has taken me around the world in the following years and is still a new adventure every day.
Closed April 15, 16, and 17.
Enright Wildlife and Habitat Solutions will be closed April 15-17 and will reopen Monday April 18.
Spring and "orphaned" wildlife
It is that time of year again! With spring comes reports of "orphaned" animals. In 99% of the cases, the female is simply away and leaving the young hidden. Please don't handle or remove young animals unless you are 100% sure the female has been killed In those cases, a local wildlife rehabilitator will be able to help with advice- https://ohiodnr.gov/static/documents/wildlife/permits/Ohio%20DOW%20Wildlife%20Rehabilitators.pdf
P.S.- Please, please keep cats inside!.
Muskrats in the wrong place are trouble!
Accepting new projects again!
